Islands Arial

The islands of Put-in-Bay and Middle Bass Island are open year round to visitors. Most attractions open for the season in late April through May and many remain open through October. We suggest you contact any particular site or lodging you are interested in for hours, policies, admission fares etc. More information about Put-in-Bay can be found at the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce web site, www.put-in-bay.com or at Lake Erie Shores and Islands, www.shoresandislands.com.

Miller Ferries dock at the Lime Kiln Dock, located on the southern end of Put-in-Bay (South Bass Island), two miles from downtown (the village) Put-in-Bay. If you choose to leave your car parked on the mainland, golf carts, bicycles, cabs and buses are available for transportation once you reach the Lime Kiln Dock. There is a bike path between the dock and downtown. Put-in-Bay is 3.5 miles long and has flat, scenic roads.

Casual is key. Restaurants welcome relaxed, comfortable wear. Also, it can be cooler on the lake, especially spring and fall. Lockers are located downtown near the Chamber of Commerce office, Delaware Avenue.

For information on Middle Bass Island transportation contact one of the lodging sites.

Important Tip: Welcome Aboard! Leave your mainland stresses behind in the ferry wake!
